Stylus Force · supplied-reading report
Check tracking force gauge readings without hiding an outlier.
For an exact declared AT-VM95E cartridge with an AT-VMN95E stylus. Enter 2–10 readings from your own gauge. See each reading and the minimum, maximum and spread; a single average never becomes a pass.

Your equipment and setup declarations have not been verified. This report does not prove calibration, safety or playback quality and does not recommend an adjustment.
Why not average the readings?
Illustrative example only: 1.7, 2.0 and 2.3 g average to 2.0 g. Yet the first and third readings are outside the stated 1.8–2.2 g range for the exact supported cartridge and installed stylus. The useful report keeps both crossings visible, with a spread of 0.6 g. This example is not loaded into your form and is not your measurement.
Sources and limits
Source facts reviewed 4 October 2026. Support is limited to the declared AT-VM95E body and AT-VMN95E installed stylus; it is not a cartridge compatibility database.
- Audio-Technica AT-VM95E specifications — vertical tracking force 1.8–2.2 g, standard 2.0 g; the user must separately confirm the actually installed AT-VMN95E stylus.
- AT-LP120XUSB manual, printed page 7 — model-specific tracking-force setup. Turning only the numbered ring does not change the physical force; no universal adjustment direction is inferred here.
- Riverstone record-level gauge guidance and Ortofon DS-3 guidance — measurement conditions matter. These sources do not establish the accuracy or calibration of your particular gauge.
- AT-VMN95SP specifications — an example of a replacement with a different range. This stylus is deliberately unsupported by this tool.
